Head of Marketing

TASKS

  • Set strategic marketing plans to set the direction and to help achieve the mission of the business.
  • To position and differentiate our brand in the mind of our customers.
  • Identify needs, gaps and opportunities for our business and make proposals to implement these.
  • Keep abreast of the competitor landscape.
  • Provide critical support to reinforce sales efforts that lead to profits.
  • Setting goals and objectives, development of staff, monitoring efficiency.
  • Establish and maintain strategic networks and liaising with other departments.
  • Define and achieve business specific targets for the team.
  • Responsible for risk management, budget setting and control with Marketing.
  • Responsible for coaching and mentoring of staff.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work within deadlines. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, highly organized, and a self-motivated team player.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills for a variety of technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Effective and efficient problem-solving skills.
  • Strong prioritization skills and the ability to coordinate multi-disciplinary teams across all levels of management.
  • Develop and maintain a strong business network as reliable source of information.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors degree in a relevant field (preferably with strategic marketing as a major)
  • 3-5 years’ experience developing proposals and presentations
  • Excellent command of English grammar, spelling and composition
  • Superior oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be highly proficient in MS Office and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Strong Project Management Skills
  • 5 to 7 years leadership experience (with an established leadership track record) preferably in the Financial Services Industry
  • 5 to 7 years relevant strategic marketing and communications experience
  • 2 to 3 years experience in an Employee Benefits environment will be an advantage
