Business Unit Head

To oversee the execution of the category management function within the Business Unit.

Tasks

The incumbent will be responsible for:

  • Communicating strategy to HOD
  • Reviewing economic model and financial objectives of the category
  • Presenting customer switching boxes and decision tree to HOD
  • Evaluating and validating SKU’s selected per switching box
  • Signing off architecture of price ladder by category / sub category
  • Validating promotional campaign
  • Setting cycles for price ladder optimisation process
  • Reviewing and signing off planograms
  • Checks build-down and recovery plan
  • Handling escalated supplier negotiations
  • Reviewing joint supplier growth scorecard
  • Conducting mock-up negotiation (role-play + FAQ training) (workshop)
  • Overseeing ongoing negotiations
  • Ensuring the human resources policies, procedures and practices are effectively implemented

Qualifications

Bachelors Degree
REQUIRED MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE 7-11 yrs supplier/category management experience
